From the Fire Continent onwards, you will need Cash and a certain number of Prestige Stars to unlock new Continents.

You can see the unlock requirements on the Continent on the World Map. You can also see how many Prestige Stars you currently have.

Unlocking a Continent does not reduce the amount of Prestige Stars you have.
