Jeff was once just a very motivated flounder. Born into the vast Idle Sea, in a community that prized routine and calm, Jeff yearned for something beyond the monotonous bubble trails. His simple fish-heart beat with a wild, uncontrollable desire for... legs. And arms. And maybe a snazzy hat.

 

One fateful day, driven by pure evolutionary willpower, Jeff did the impossible: he sprouted limbs. Ready to start his new adventure, he said goodbye to his community with a brisk, two-handed wave (a first for his species) and wiggled his way onto the shores of the Treasure Coast.

 

Armed with an eternally cheerful disposition and an uncanny ability to make friends with anyone, Jeff bounced through life, collecting careers wherever he went. He was briefly an astronaut, a vegan sushi chef, even a surprisingly gentle deep-sea dentist until he finally became a deckhand on Mad Eye Drake’s ship.

 

He found solace onboard the ship, helping Mad Eye Drake and his crew anytime they came to shore and mined for new resources. Using his unique talents inside the mines, he helps them reach new depths, filling the elevator with magical, oxygen-rich bubbles that keeps them all refreshed as they work. For Jeff, the dark mineshafts feel just like home, where glittering gems rival the finest pearls of the sea.
