Once a renowned protector of the Avian Nation, Hatori spent decades as a sentinel of the skies, safeguarding her people from unseen threats. She had retired to a life of peace when her nephew, Sojo, driven by youthful defiance and ambition, chose to break away from tradition and descend to the mines below—an unforgivable act in the eyes of their sky-bound kin. With the mines being a foreign and dangerous realm for their people, Hatori could not bear to let Sojo face the perils of the underground alone.
