In an act of ultimate sacrifice, the mighty dragon Drethos plunged into the void to absorb the dangerous energy.

Dragons and golems were never enemies; they were partners in this desperate bid for survival. Adamanthus and his kin worked in unison with Drethos, using their ancient strength to anchor the volatile magic he had taken into himself. This immense effort drained the golem race, forcing most into a deep, eternal dormancy and leaving Adamanthus as the only one left to stand watch.

Their combined powers stabilized the rift, creating the Portal into Everdeep. While Drethos became the chaotic heart of the realm, Adamanthus remained the unyielding anchor that held it together. Now, he acts as a protector for those who enter the gateway, ensuring the balance remains and honoring the sacrifice his family and the dragon made to keep the world safe.
